In a year full of truly remarkable royal jewelry moments, this was my favorite of all: the reappearance of Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik Tiara, which had been tucked away in the royal vaults for almost a decade.

The seventh spot in our countdown of the best royal jewels of 2024 shines a sparkling light on a pair of royal tiaras shared by the ladies of the British royal family this year, sparking hopes that we may see more tiara-sharing in the years to come!

It’s time for our annual countdown of some of the best royal jewelry moments of the year! My list for 2024 begins with a collection of stellar royal brooch debuts from Queen Camilla, who wore numerous heirlooms from the vaults (and some new pieces!) for the first time this year.

The British royal family celebrated Christmas this year at Sandringham in Norfolk, and the Queen and the Princess of Wales led the pack of royal jewelry-wearers at the traditional church service at nearby St. Mary Magdalene.

It’s the season for celebrating holidays, but there’s a veteran tiara-wearing princess celebrating her birthday on Christmas Day, too! In honor of tomorrow’s birthday celebrations for Princess Alexandra, we’ve got a look back at the glittering tiaras she’s worn over the decades.
