Happy Birthday to the King of the Netherlands! As always, a big national bash, King’s Day, was thrown to celebrate his birthday on Monday, with plenty of royal jewels out for the occasion.

On Thursday, the Dutch royals hosted their annual dinner for the Diplomatic Corps in Amsterdam, and Queen Máxima brought out the family rubies–and a dress from deep in her wardrobe archive–for the occasion.
