On Thursday, the Queen of the Netherlands was out and about in Haarlem and Utrecht, wearing a vibrant outfit and a special pair of festive pink earrings.

Queen Máxima made visits to a pair of Dutch cities on Thursday, traveling between them via train. The journey was part of the engagement, which was scheduled to coincide with the start of Circular Economy Week, a series of events and initiatives dedicated to the circular economy and sustainable development.
In Haarlem, Máxima toured NS Treinmodernisering, which refurbishes double-decker trains. During their train journey to Utrecht, she had conversations with leaders in the field, and on their arrival, she toured Hof van Cartesius, a collaborative workspace for sustainable and creative entrepreneurs.

For the visit, Máxima reached for an eye-catching ensemble from her wardrobe archive: an eggplant-purple suit from Zara, paired with a bright pink shirt and coordinating accessories. Josine Droogendijk reminds us that we previously saw her wear the suit during the Dutch state visit to Sweden four years ago.

On both occasions, she accessorized with a statement-making headpiece: a bright pink headband with elaborate beading and embroidery. UFO No More shares that the headband comes from Namjosh Laxmi.

Máxima also coordinated her earrings to her headband and shirt, wearing a pair of pink crystal-encrusted statement earrings with a bold teardrop shape.

You’d be forgiven for thinking at first glance that the earring are from JAR—especially after discussing Princess Caroline’s pink JAR earrings from the recent Rose Ball in Monaco—but I believe Natan is the firm responsible for these.

Máxima reached for a few more pieces of jewelry with a pinky-red theme, wearing her ruby and diamond tennis bracelet stacked with her diamond family initial bracelet, plus her ruby and diamond ring.

We also got an excellent view of Máxima’s engagement and wedding rings from this event. Her engagement ring is set with a rare orange diamond—very appropriate for a woman who married into the House of Orange.
