I don’t think there are many better ways to wrap up the workweek than to enjoy an appearance by Queen Máxima in bright pink and flower statement earrings, do you? Thankfully for us, Máx was out and about in Flevoland this week in just such an ensemble.

On Tuesday, the King and Queen of the Netherlands headed to the central part of the country for a visit to the province of Flevoland. The province sits on land that was reclaimed from the Zuiderzee, a shallow bay, in the 1950s and 1960s after it was closed off from the North Sea.

During the visit, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima made stops at a cultural center and a national park in Lelystad, a community center and a college in Almere, and a greenhouse and restaurant in Zeewolde. The palace press release ahead of the visit explained that the royal couple wanted to learn about the “sustainable and livable future for a growing region, with opportunities for high-quality employment and amenities.”

Despite the rainy weather, Queen cwas bright and sunny as usual in a vibrant pink dress. UFO No More tells us that, no surprise, the ensemble comes from Natan. She paired the dress with a turban-style headpiece in a neutral wheat shade.

With the pink dress, Máxima added even more interest with a pair of modern statement earrings. The floral earrings come from the Spanish jewelry designer Luz Camino. I described these on a previous outing as “tulip-shaped,” but because I’m notoriously bad at identifying flowers, none of you should have taken my word for it. They’re apparently designed to resemble fritillaries.

Máxima has had the flower earrings in her jewelry box for two years now and has worn them on a variety of occasions. I covered her appearance in the jewels during the state visit to Kenya earlier this year.

There were more jewels to enjoy in Flevoland this week, too. Queen Máxima wore her kunzite and diamond ring on her right hand, and she stacked a whole bunch of bracelets on her right wrist. You’ll note that she’s a particular fan lately of the evil eye design motif. Three of the four bracelets worn on her wrist for this occasion feature the evil eye, including some designs rendered in diamonds and sapphires.
