Parliament season continued in Europe this morning, with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima leading a jeweled parade of Dutch royalty on Prinsjesdag in The Hague.

The King and Queen of the Netherlands arrived at the Royal Theatre in The Hague on Tuesday for the celebrations of Prinsjesdag, during which the monarch delivers an address to a joint session of the States-General of the Netherlands. They were joined in the Glass Coach by their daughter and heir, the Princess of Orange.

Prinsjesdag has a daytime formal dress code. The royal men wear morning suits, while the ladies wear long gowns, decorations, and jewels with hats and gloves. For this year’s address from the throne, Queen Máxima wore a green-gray gown from a favorite designer, Jan Taminiau. We previously saw her wear the same dress for Prinsjesdag in 2011. The Queen and her three daughters all wore the sash and star of the Order of the Netherlands Lion with their dresses for the event.

Máxima picked up the gray hues of the gown with her jewelry choices for the event. She wore a favorite pair of black pearl and diamond earrings, as well as a lovely antique brooch set with diamonds and black pearls.

A gold bangle with diamond and pearl accents could also be spotted on her right wrist. The cluster design of the bracelet’s central element appears to closely match that of the brooch.

On her right hand, Máxima also wore her modern black pearl and diamond ring. You’ll find a good close-up view of the ring in this previous article.

Princess Amalia opted for a sunny golden theme for her Prinsjesdag ensemble this year, wearing a buttery yellow dress with fringe detailing. UFO No More tells us that the dress comes from the brand Taller Marmo. The princess’s sash and star are hidden under the draped fabric of the gown.

Amalia kept the golden theme going with her jewels for the occasion, wearing an enormous pair of golden knot earrings from Cult Gaia. The earrings look much heavier than they really are—they’re made of hollow brass.

A golden cocktail ring on her right hand finished off the look. In this photograph, you’ll also spot her order sash peeking out beside her left hand.

The King and Queen’s younger daughters, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane, arrived for the proceedings with their uncle and aunt, Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien. Tuesday marks Ariane’s first public appearance at Prinsjesdag. She turned eighteen in April.

Princess Alexia was lovely in a dramatic gown in a deep shade of plum, worn with a small floral headpiece in lieu of a larger hat. Per UFO No More, the dress comes from the brand Solace London.

Like her sister, Alexia opted for gold jewelry with her Prinsjesdag ensemble, wearing a gleaming pair of classic hoop earrings and a trendy modern bracelet.

The gold bracelet looks like a stack, but this view shows that it’s one big piece, worn over a delicate diamond tennis bracelet. She borrowed the larger bracelet, a Hervé van der Straeten piece, from her mother’s jewelry box for the occasion.

Princess Ariane wore stunning sapphire satin for her public Prinsjesdag debut. The gown, which she wore with a more traditional hat, comes from Victoria Beckham.

Ariane accessorized with a gorgeous pair of double pendant earrings set with sapphires and diamonds.

And here’s Princess Laurentien, wearing pink with the sash and star of the Order of the House of Orange. She wears girandole-style earrings set with diamonds and pink cabochon gemstones with additional diamond jewelry. Her brooch, the family’s round diamond star brooch, is one of her favorite pieces from the vault. The nineteenth-century jewel was made by Mellerio and given to Queen Emma by King Willem III.
