On Monday, royals from across Europe joined survivors, dignitaries, and heads of state and government on the site of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in Poland to reflect and remember on the 80th anniversary of the camp’s liberation.

Last week, the King and Queen of Denmark held two more traditional New Year receptions in Copenhagen, and Queen Mary dipped into a special collection of family jewels to find heirloom diamonds to wear for both occasions.

Last week, the Danish royals held their annual New Year’s Levee at Amalienborg, a glittering event teeming with tiaras, orders and decorations, uniforms, and glamorous gowns. And, delightfully, this year also brought us Queen Mary’s first public appearance in the grand emerald parure from the crown jewel collection!
