The royal year in Luxembourg officially began last week with the New Year gala at the Grand Ducal Palace, and Grand Duchess Stéphanie gleamed in an heirloom citrine and pearl tiara for the occasion.

New year receptions have also been taking place in Brussels, and this week we saw sapphires, diamonds, and pearls sparkling on Belgium’s queen and crown princess at a palace reception for European dignitaries.

I previously covered the gorgeous tiaras worn by the Japanese imperial family to welcome the new year, but the empresses and princesses also wore some lovely brooches to greet the public at the start of 2026.
