Crystal Water Prize Sparkle for the Crown Princess of Sweden

Last week in Stockholm, the Swedish royal family celebrated innovations in the field of water, with Crown Princess Victoria choosing marine blue jewels for the occasion.

Crown Princess Victoria was on hand on August 25 to present the Stockholm Junior Water Prize awards at Stockholm City Hall. Victoria is the patron of the prize, which encourages young people to develop an interest in water conservation and sustainable use efforts. As the name suggests, it’s the junior category of the Stockholm Water Prize, which has been called the “Nobel Prize of Water.”

Here, Victoria celebrates with Canada’s Moroti Adegboyega. The high school student from St. Bonaventure’s College in St. John’s won this year’s prize for his project, which uses an automated robot to clean plastic debris from water.

Victoria, appropriately, likes to wear blue for this occasion. This year she paired a blue blouse with a blue floral taffeta skirt. UFO No More also shares that her silver ruffle sandals come from H&M.

She paired blue and silver jewelry with the outfit, including a suite of crystal jewelry from Swarovski that has been in her collection for several years. She previously wore the earrings and necklace for the Junior Water Prize presentation in 2023.

Here’s a closer look at the necklace, which comes from the brand’s Millenia collection. The company’s website offers a description of the line: “A timeless Swarovski style, Millenia injects refinement into every wardrobe.” The necklace, which retails for $680, features octagon-shaped blue crystals in a rhodium-plated setting. It also comes in four other colorways. (Queen Silvia owns the purple version.)

We first saw Victoria wear the necklace back in February 2023, when she brought it along for a trip to Australia. She wore it with a black top and blue printed skirt for a reception in Sydney.

On this occasion, Victoria wore the necklace with its matching earrings. These studs do not appear to be currently available from the Swarovski website. Instead, they’re offering cushion-cut drops as a coordinating option.

Victoria completed the look with a pair of silver bracelets. She wore one of her favorite link bracelets on her left wrist. (You can see a close-up here.) And on her right, she wore a textured cuff from Edblad, the steel version of the gold bracelet she wore for the recent reception for Ukrainian children at the palace.
