On a summery Sunday in Sweden, Crown Princess Victoria brought out some beloved moonstones to celebrate a remarkable religious milestone in Visby.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden traveled to the island of Gotland on Sunday to be present for a service celebrating the 800th anniversary of Visby Cathedral. Located in the island’s largest city, the cathedral was originally a church built for visiting German traders, consecrated in 1225. The church was promoted to cathedral status in 1572, when Gotland was part of Denmark. The island was ceded to Sweden in 1645. Several hundred years later, in the 1890s and 1900s, the cathedral was substantially renovated inside and out, and additional renovation work was done in the 1980s and the 2010s.

For the service, Crown Princess Victoria wore a beautiful new floral dress. UFO No More tells us that the blue taffeta dress was made by the designer Camilla Thulin, who has made numerous pieces for both Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victoria over the years. Notably, she was the designer behind Crown Princess Victoria’s pink Nobel Prize ballgown in December 2022.

With the dress, Crown Princess Victoria wore several pieces of cool-toned jewelry, including a necklace featuring a diamond horseshoe charm and earrings set with diamonds and moonstones.

The earrings come from the brand Ebbe Brahe Jewellery. Named after a famous Swedish courtier, the company was founded in 2013 by Charlotte Ramel, who is one of Brahe’s descendants. The family still owns a suite of pearl and diamond jewelry given to Ebbe Brahe by her lover, King Gustaf II Adolf of Sweden, in the early 1600s, and the jewels helped inspire Ramel to pursue a career as a jewelry designer.
Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Madeleine, and Princess Sofia have all worn pieces from the brand, and fittingly, these diamond and moonstone pieces are called the “Victoria Earrings.” Victoria has been wearing her pair since at least 2020.

To complete the look for the cathedral’s anniversary celebration, Victoria also wore rings on both hands and an interesting bracelet.

Here’s a closer look at the silver-toned bracelet, which features repeating cross and oval design motifs. You also get a glimpse here of Victoria’s engagement and wedding rings. The crown princely couple recently celebrated a milestone of their own: their 15th wedding anniversary.
