Day two of Royal Ascot brought us even more jewelry goodness, including fabulous jewels from Queen Elizabeth II’s collection on both Queen Camilla and Princess Catherine.

The King and the Queen once again rode in the first carriage during the procession this afternoon, with Lady Sarah and Daniel Chatto (daughter and son-in-law of Princess Margaret) riding with them. The second carriage featured the Prince and Princess of Wales with the Duke and Duchess of Richmond and Grafton. The third brought Rory Stewart and his wife, Shoshana Clark, to the racecourse alongside two of the Queen’s Companions, Lady Sarah Keswick and the Marchioness of Lansdowne. The fourth and final carriage held the horse trainer William Haggas and his wife, Maureen, who is the daughter of the late jockey and trainer Lester Piggott, as well as the trainer John Gosden and the barrister and racehorse owner Rachel Hood.

As always, we have to have a good look at the King’s tie pin. This enamel, diamond, and pearl pin appears to be a mourning jewel for the late Queen Victoria, with the imperial cypher VRI. The Duchess of Gloucester often wears a very similar pendant.

For the second day of the races, Queen Camilla wore an elegantly-tailored ivory coatdress with a matching hat and a fantastic brooch. This is the Williamson Pink Diamond Brooch, made by Cartier in 1953 for Queen Elizabeth II using a rare pink diamond she’d received as a wedding present in 1947. The spectacular jewel was worn for seven decades by the late Queen, and Camilla wore it for the first time in the spring of 2024.

Camilla continued the pink theme with her earrings, reaching for a pair of antique diamond and pink topaz earrings from her personal collection. These were part of the auction lot that also included her gorgeous pink topaz and diamond cluster brooch, now arranged as a the clasp on a five-row pearl choker necklace.

The Princess of Wales was a ray of sunshine in a Roksanda dress from her closet, previously worn in Jamaica and at Wimbledon.

Catherine accessorized with a pair of diamond chandelier earrings that belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II. The earrings first appeared on Kate back in the summer of 2011 during a BAFTA event in Los Angeles, and she’s worn them several times in the years since.

Kate finished off the jewelry look with her usual rings and a three-row pearl bracelet that comes from the collection of her late mother-in-law, Diana, Princess of Wales.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh looked straight out of My Fair Lady on the second day of the races, with the Duchess wearing a black dress with an enormous bow, paired with a black and white hat and shoes.

Sophie’s jewelry for the day included pavĂ©-set diamond drop earrings and her modern rose brooch.
The Princess Royal wore pink with pearl earrings and her gold horse brooch, while Lady Sarah Chatto gleamed in her late mother’s diamond and pearl earrings.

Zara Tindall glowed in new earrings from the brand Hector Lion. These feature drilled pale yellow rock crystal pendants.

And Lady Gabriella Windsor was chic in a pale blue coatdress paired with big white floral earrings.
I’ll see you all back here for tiaras later this evening! Which jewels are you hoping to see come out for the Japanese state banquet in Amsterdam?
