On Friday, Queen Máxima headed to Amsterdam’s largest city park for a special Pride celebration, wearing white and gold pearls for the occasion.
Queen Máxima arrived in Vondelpark in Amsterdam on Friday to officially open WorldPride 2026. This year’s celebration, held for the first time in Amsterdam, marks the silver anniversary of the first same-sex marriages solemnized in the city. During the opening ceremony, Máxima held a sign that reads “Love Knows No Bounds.”
For the opening celebration, Máxima wore a familiar dress and hat. Josine Droogendijk reminds us that the dress comes from Natan.
You’ll probably recognize the ensemble from one of its most high-profile past appearances: an outing at Royal Ascot in June 2019. On that occasion, she wore major daytime jewelry, including diamond earrings made from clusters removed from the Stuart Tiara.
For the opening of WorldPride, Máxima paired the dress and hat with pearls. Her earrings echoed the colors of the dress’s pattern: golden pearl studs linked with diamond strings to white pearl drops.
She also wore a pearl and diamond ring on her right hand. Her engagement and wedding rings were worn together on her left.
She finished off the look with bracelets on both wrists. On her left, she stacked delicate gold chain and charm bracelets with her watch, and on her right she wore a slim gold bangle and her diamond family initial bracelet.
