The royal year in Spain began on Tuesday with the annual Pascua Militar ceremonies in Madrid, and Queen Letizia brought out a new pair of diamond earrings for the occasion.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia were joined by Princess Leonor for this year’s Pascua Militar ceremonies at the Royal Palace in Madrid. The celebrations have taken place annually on Epiphany since the eighteenth century, when they were established by King Carlos III of Spain.

The festivities include a military parade and a reception at the palace. King Felipe and Princess Leonor were both dressed in military uniforms for the occasion.

Queen Letizia followed the traditional dress code for the event, wearing a blouse with a long skirt and daytime-appropriate jewelry. For the parade, she added a fur-trimmed wrap. UFO No More shares that Letizia’s blouse and skirt come from Nina Ricci, while the wrap is a Carolina Herrera piece.

Letizia kept her jewelry very minimal for this year’s festivities, opting for a pair of sleek, modern earrings set with tiny diamonds.

The earrings, which are new additions to Letizia’s collection, come from Tous. The company’s website notes that the earrings are made of 18-carat white gold with 0.46 carats’ worth of brilliant-cut diamonds.

Letizia also wore a piece that she debuted during a previous Pascua Militar celebration: her Coreterno ring. The yellow gold ring is the brand’s “Amor che tutto move” style, featuring engraved lines from Dante’s Divine Comedy. Letizia first wore the ring in public on Pascua Militar back in January 2023.
