This week, the United Nations celebrated a special milestone: the 80th anniversary of its founding in 1945. For this week’s opening session, royals from around the world gathered in New York, including three jewel-wearing European queens (and a bonus princess!).

On Friday, the Queen of Sweden made a gleaming appearance in a modern twist on a classic earring design at a Swedish concert hall.

The Swedish royal family gathered in Stockholm on Tuesday for the annual opening of the Riksdag, the nation’s parliament, with the Bernadotte ladies wearing jewels that paid tribute to the ceremony’s glittering past.
