In a difficult week for the people of Sweden, there was a small bright spot: the birth of a new princess. On Monday, the King and Queen joined Prince Carl Philip and other family members at a special service of thanksgiving for the birth of his daughter, Princess Ines.
The King and Queen of Sweden dressed up this week for an important academy celebration in Stockholm, with Queen Silvia selecting a special necklace of pearls for the occasion.
On Monday, royals from across Europe joined survivors, dignitaries, and heads of state and government on the site of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in Poland to reflect and remember on the 80th anniversary of the camp’s liberation.
