On Tuesday, the Dutch royals welcomed members of the Council of State to a gala dinner in The Hague, with jewels sparkling on both Queen Máxima and Princess Amalia for the occasion.

King Willem-Alexander delivered remarks during the black-tie dinner, which honored members of the nation’s state advisory board. “This dinner is for us more than a beautiful tradition. It is a sign of our connection with you,” he said.

For the occasion, Queen Máxima wore a berry-colored gown that has been in her wardrobe since at least 2018, paired with diamond and kunzite jewelry from the family collection.

Here’s a look at the full Claes Iversen gown from one of her previous appearances in the dress: a return concert during the Greek state visit in 2022. On that occasion she wore the gown with its included belt in its expected position, but she wore it with the buckle at the back of the dress for the Council of State dinner this week.

For Tuesday’s dinner, Máxima’s jewelry accessories included the family’s long diamond earrings, which I believe she wore with the pink-hued pendants from their set of kunzites. (Her hair makes it difficult to tell for certain.) She also wore the paired diamond and kunzite bangles on her left wrist and Queen Wilhelmina’s Diamond Trellis Bracelet on her right.
Also hidden beneath her hair was one of the treasure of the Dutch royal vaults: the top portion of the family’s diamond and pearl devant de corsage. She wore the bow brooch section without its pendants. The piece features a central blush-pink diamond, which coordinates nicely with the kunzite jewels.

The Princess of Orange wore a trendy lime-green satin gown for the dinner, with its matching sheer scarf worn as a cape-style overlay. UFO No More tells us that the affordable dress comes from Mango.

Amalia wore black accessories with the dress and borrowed earrings from her mother to complete that color contrast look. These earrings feature black studs with diamond borders and long, stiletto-esque black pendants.

Amalia also rummaged in her mother’s jewelry box for additional pieces. On her right hand, she appears to have worn Máxima’s vintage gold Cartier ring, which features an elephant design.

She also wore the coordinating gold Cartier elephant bracelet on her left wrist for the dinner. The jewels thematically matched her black clutch bag, which has a faux crocodile pattern.
