After a heavy few weeks in the royal world, the Queen of the Netherlands knew just what we needed: a royal visit that included a rare diamond and tractor driving.
Queen Máxima headed out to the Achterhoek region of the Netherlands on Wednesday for a working visit focused on biobased construction and the sustainable renovation of buildings. She was joined for the day by the Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning, Elanor Boekholt-O’Sullivan.
During a visit to a fiber hemp grower, Máxima pitched right in, even driving one of the farm’s tractors. For the occasion, she wore a floral blouse and matching skirt, plus a pair of ballet flats. (Josine Droogendijk tells us that they’re Natan.)
She accessorized with a big pair of floral statement earrings. UFO No More tells us that they’re from Zara, and they’ve been in Máxima’s jewelry box for five years.
She also wore her usual stack of bracelets on each wrist, including a delicate gold bracelet (and a hair elastic) with her watch on her left hand.
Here’s a good close-up of the bracelets she wore together on her right wrist. The stack includes her diamond family initial bracelet, a big gold chain link bracelet, her diamond and sapphire evil eye bangle, and her diamond-tipped bangle.
She finished off the jewelry look with her wedding band and her engagement ring, which is set with a rare orange diamond. Don’t you wear your valuable colored diamonds when you drive your tractor? Be honest…!
