Sparkling Royal Jewels From Around the World
This week, the Queen will celebrate the 68th anniversary of her coronation at Westminster Abbey. For the next few days, we’ll be looking at some of the crown jewels worn during and after the ceremony. Today, our focus is on the most familiar crown from the British collection: the Imperial State Crown.
Few emerald royal tiaras have captured the imagination quite as strongly in recent years as the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik. The tiara, which emerged from the royal vaults after a hibernation of more than half a century, has quickly become a favorite of royal jewelry lovers around the world.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (or, more properly, the Earl and Countess of Strathearn) were in Scotland for several days of engagements this week, and on Wednesday, Kate debuted another royal jewelry loan from the Queen.
