One of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s royal brooches has finally made its way out of the vaults! We’ve got a closer look at that jewel, and all the royal jewels worn for this year’s Commonwealth Day service.

Longtime readers here will know that I’m a big fan of the blingy, showy jewelry we get to see each year at the Academy Awards. While I’m not doing comprehensive Oscars jewelry coverage this year—not getting enough sleep at the moment for that!—I’m going to feature some pieces that I particularly liked this year. Tomorrow, we’ll see members of the royal family attending the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. Yesterday, we looked back at some of the jewels that Queen Camilla has worn for the event, and today, we’ve got a retrospective of the jewels worn by the Princess of Wales for the service.

Every year, on the second Monday of March, the member nations of the Commonwealth celebrate Commonwealth Day. In London, the royals attend a service at Westminster Abbey to celebrate the occasion. Today, we’ve got a look at the jewels that Queen Camilla has worn for the service since joining the royal family in 2005.
