Tomorrow, we’ll see members of the royal family attending the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. Yesterday, we looked back at some of the jewels that Queen Camilla has worn for the event, and today, we’ve got a retrospective of the jewels worn by the Princess of Wales for the service.

William and Kate, then the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, attended the service together for the first time in March 2015. Kate, who was expecting Princess Charlotte, wore a pale pink Alexander McQueen coat with matching accessories for the occasion.

She carried the “light pink” theme through to her jewelry as well, wearing Kiki McDonough earrings with diamond hoops and pink morganite drops.

In March 2016, the Cambridges were in attendance again at the service. This time around, Kate wore a textured gray ensemble. Her coat, by Erdem, featured lace detailing.

To accessorize, she reached for her diamond and aquamarine drop earrings.

In March 2018, when she was expecting Prince Louis, Kate wore a navy blue Beulah coat with a matching hat from Lock & Co. for the annual service at Westminster Abbey.

Her jewels for the day were vintage floral pieces. She pinned a gem-set bouquet brooch to her coat.

And she also wore a pair of coordinating vintage floral button earrings.

The Cambridges were all smiles as they arrived for the Commonwealth Day service in March 2019. Kate wore a red military-style coat dress from Catherine Walker.

She added a bit of sparkle with diamond earrings with a floral-esque design.

Kate wore red again for the Commonwealth Day service in March 2020. This coat, another Catherine Walker design, features velvet accents.

She added even more red with a pair of diamond and ruby earrings. These are part of a modern set from Mouawad.

Last year, in March 2022, Kate wore a bright blue ensemble as she and William arrived at Westminster Abbey for the annual service.

She wore a set of sapphire and diamond cluster jewels from her collection. The choice of the earrings and matching necklace were widely interpreted to be a signal of support for the people of Ukraine, given their previous outing during a meeting with President Zelenskyy and his wife, Olena Zelenska.
