There’s been a delightful jewelry trend emerging in Belgium over the past several months: acquisition of antique and vintage jewelry by the royal family. Queen Mathilde recently wore yet another vintage pair of earrings to add to that list.

We’ve got even more sparkle from this week’s Belgian royal state visit to Lithuania, including a diamond tiara that packs a ton of sparkle into a petite frame.

The King and Queen of the Belgians arrived in Lithuania for a state visit on Monday, and Queen Mathilde wore a gorgeous antique brooch for the start of the trip.

On Wednesday, Queen Mathilde of the Belgians wore gorgeous diamond and pearl jewels for a visit to a new bank building in Brussels.

Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom had an impressive collection of diamond bow brooches, so it was only appropriate that two royal ladies brought out important diamond bows during her memorial and funeral ceremonies. And one of them may have a major British royal connection!
