Today, King Charles III and Queen Camilla begin the first royal visit to Australia of his reign. We’ll be covering any interesting jewelry moments from the trip, as well as the subsequent state visit to Samoa and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, here at The Court Jeweller. This week, King Charles and Queen Camilla will head to Australia for the beginning of the first royal visit since the start of his reign. Ahead of their arrival, I’ve got some sparkling content from Australian visits past, starting today with an iconic gown and jewels worn by a young Queen Elizabeth II in 1954.
King Charles III isn’t just the sovereign of the United Kingdom. He’s also the monarch of several other nations, including fourteen additional Commonwealth Realms. Recently, Buckingham Palace released a set of official portraits for Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, ahead of the King and Queen’s first overseas Commonwealth visit later this year.
