One of the most glamorous events of the year in the principality of Monaco took place this weekend: the glittering Red Cross gala, with Princess Charlene and several more Grimaldis in attendance.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco led the family party at the 76th annual Red Cross Gala, held on Saturday at Sporting Monte-Carlo. The evening’s program included a dinner, a charity auction, a fireworks display, and a concert by the ’80s icon Billy Idol.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Albert’s accession to the throne, and during the gala Princess Charlene gave a speech celebrating the milestone. “Monseigneur Albert, you know that I will always be at your side, along with all Monégasques. We are with you, wholeheartedly, to protect Monaco and its future under your leadership. We love you, we support you, and we thank you for being there for all of us.”

For the gala, Charlene wore an elegant cornflower blue evening gown from the designer Elie Saab. The silk dress featured expert pleating and a cape-like detail over the shoulders. The dress, which comes from the pre-Fall 2025 collection, was reportedly inspired by rail journeys aboard the famed Orient Express.

Charlene accessorized with plenty of sparkling diamonds, including earrings with pear-shaped diamond studs and drops and a necklace featuring a cascade of pear-shaped diamonds, culminating in a large pear-shaped pendant. Per The Royal Couturier, who chronicles Charlene’s fashion on Instagram, the jewels come from Graff.

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene were joined by a trio of Grimaldi relatives at the gala. Princess Stephanie’s son, Louis Ducruet, attended the gala with his wife, Marie, who was elegant in a draped green gown. His sister, Camille Gottlieb, was also in attendance, wearing a black and white dress made by the designer Elisabetta Franchi.
If Camille’s gown looks familiar, there’s a good reason. Franchi was inspired by a famous costume worn by Camille’s grandmother, Princess Grace, when she was the actress Grace Kelly. Grace wore the original black and white dress, a design by Edith Head, in Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window.
