The Countess of Wessex has a small but mighty collection of jewelry, including some pieces with royal provenance. One of the most impressive pieces of that group is the set of diamond clip brooches that she received from her husband’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.

Ask any royal jewellery fan to name a Canadian royal brooch and the first answer is likely the diamond maple leaf, worn by four generations of royal women. But after that, it’s a struggle to name the rest. There are at least five and that “at least” caveat is because one of Canada’s offerings appears to have laid in a jewellery vault for more than a century before being pulled out again.
There’s been tons of discussion over the past several months about the next tiaras that Queen Camilla will bring out of the royal vault. But while there are many of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s tiaras to choose from, Camilla also has an unseen royal heirloom tiara in her own jewelry vault: the Teck Crescent Tiara.
