Last week, we surveyed tiaras worn by the Queen in the “7s” of her reign. Today, as we approach her upcoming birthday, we’re looking at a glittering tiara appearance made by Elizabeth II in 2007, almost fifteen years ago.

The Queen’s jewelry box is packed with pieces gifted to her by foreign dignitaries, and many believe that this necklace and its matching earrings belong to that category. Here’s a closer look at the jewels worn by the Queen (and several other British royal ladies) for a dinner at Claridge’s in 1987.

In 1977, as she celebrated the 25th year of her reign, Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh embarked on a Silver Jubilee tour of Commonwealth nations. In New Zealand, she wore major jewels—and her newest tiara!—for the opening of parliament.
