Sparkling Royal Jewels From Around the World
Our look back at some of the gorgeous royal jewels and tiaras worn in Sweden by Queen Máxima of the Netherlands returns to April 2006 today, for another look at a sparkling appearance from the days when she was still a princess.
Get excited, everyone: there’s a royal/royal state visit on the calendar next week! On October 11, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands will arrive in Stockholm for a state visit hosted by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. To get ourselves geared up for some serious sparkle, I’m devoting this week’s Sparkling Spotlight posts to some of the magnificent jewels that Máxima has worn in Sweden over the years. First up: a terrific turquoise appearance from 2006!
Our final Sparkling Spotlight post of the week features yet another tiara from that 2012 Luxembourgish royal wedding: a diamond jewel worn by Princess Märtha Louise of Norway, who celebrated her birthday last week.
