The gemstones were sparkling in Monaco this weekend at the annual Red Cross Ball, including a stunning pair of statement earrings worn by Princess Charlene.

Today is #PalaceDay, a social media celebration of royal residences and museums throughout Europe. To join in, I’m featuring a tiara worn by a princess for a special gala at the Palace of Versailles in 1973—an event that was a landmark moment not only for the palace itself but for French and American fashion, too.

On Tuesday, Princess Charlene of Monaco piled on the diamonds to attend one of the principality’s signature events: the Golden Nymph Awards, part of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

There were even more major royal celebrations going on last week! In the principality of Monaco, the Grimaldis gathered to mark the centenary of the birth of one of their most important family members, the late Prince Rainier III.

Earlier this week, we covered the jewels worn by Princess Caroline and Charlotte Casiraghi at the Cannes Film Festival—but there was also an earlier Grimaldi red carpet appearance at the festival, with some intriguing jewelry included!
