One of my favorite formal events each May is the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute’s annual gala, which attracts a bevy of celebrities and beautiful people—and royals, too! (Diana, Princess of Wales made a memorable Met Gala appearance in 1996, and Princess Beatrice of York and Queen Rania of Jordan have also graced the gala’s red carpet.) This year’s gala has been postponed until September, but in the meantime, I thought I’d do a little throwback to one of my favorite Met Gala looks of all time: the purple and gold ensemble worn by actress Lucy Liu in 2007.
Our celebration of Queen Maxima’s jewelry box continues today with a look at another pair of earrings that belong to her personally: the Harmony Earrings, which are bright, colorful, and very convertible.
