On Thursday, the Princess of Wales continued her education-themed visit to the Italian city of Reggio Emilia, wearing green amethysts and Milanese fashion for the occasion.

On the second and final day of her trip to Italy, Princess Catherine continued to learn about the educational philosophy developed in the northern city of Reggio Emilia. The day’s program included stops at the Salvador Allende pre-school, with a focus on nature-based learning, and REMIDA, Reggio Emilia’s creative resource center. The trip concluded with a visit to Agriturismo Al Vigneto, a vineyard and farmhouse, where Kate learned about the ways that communities come together to support children as they learn and grow.

For her second day in Reggio Emilia, Catherine wore neutrals, including a pleated skirt from the American brand Jenny Kayne and a pinstriped jacket from Blazé Milano, an Italian fashion house based in Milan. Chroniclers of Kate’s fashion noted immediately that the jacket has been worn more than once, including a notable appearance in a portrait released alongside a major update about her health in 2024.

She accessorized with a suite of jewelry that has been in her jewelry box since at least 2019. The earrings and their matching necklace all come from Kiki McDonough. Each piece is made of yellow gold and set with large pear-shaped green amethysts (a green variety of quartz, also called prasiolite) and small diamonds.

We first saw Catherine wear the jewels in public in February 2019, when she packed them in her suitcase for a trip to Belfast. She wore the earrings and necklace together with a Missoni dress at an entertainment venue, Empire Hall, in Belfast.

She’s worn the earrings on a handful of occasions since, perhaps most notably on Christmas Day at Sandringham in December 2019. On that occasion, she wore the drops with a gray Catherine Walker coat (trimmed in faux fur) and a dark green hat from Lock & Co.

For her final events in Reggio Emilia, Kate also wore her usual ring stack—gold wedding band, diamond and sapphire eternity ring, sapphire and diamond engagement ring, and diamond eternity band—with her Cartier watch and a fabric bracelet. Emily Ferguson, the royal editor of the Daily Express, wrote on social media that the bracelet is “from a small business in Milan, Atelier Molayem.”
The company wrote about the bracelet on their Instagram account, noting that it’s made from Liberty of London fabric. They also feature a picture revealing that the three small gold beads on the bracelet feature the initials G, C, and L—for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, of course.
