Queen Máxima was in Amsterdam on Wednesday to highlight an innovative Dutch business, wearing a throwback ensemble from Chanel.

On Wednesday, Queen Máxima arrived at the headquarters of Fairphone, a Dutch company that produces smartphones and headphones. The firm strives to produce their products with ethical and environmental concerns in mind, providing fair labor conditions for their employees, using recycled materials, and allowing users to repair their own devices. All of these efforts earned them the King Willem I Prize for Sustainable Entrepreneurship in 2024, and Máxima’s visit was connected with that accolade.

For her visit to the company’s headquarters, during which she tested out both headphones and smartphones, Queen Máxima wore a green tweed jacket from her wardrobe archives. The jacket, which she’s been wearing for nearly two decades, comes from Chanel, as does the handbag she carried for the occasion.

Máxima connected the vintage styling of the jacket with her jewelry for the visit, wearing textured gold jewelry that coordinates with the jacket’s buttons. I think her earrings are costume pieces made by Gripoix for Chanel, but don’t quote me on that. The floral-inspired earrings feature a white center “pearl” surrounded by twisted gold “petals.” She’s had the earrings in her collection since at least 2004.

Máxima also wore a gold necklace and bracelet, which UFO No More has identified as coming from the Italian jeweler Fope. These pieces have also been in her collection for more than a decade. She stacked the bracelet on her left wrist with a gold chain bracelet studded with cabochon gemstones.

And here—in perhaps my favorite playful picture from the visit—you can see that Máxima also wore her engagement and wedding rings on her left hand, plus her peridot Safari ring from Steltman on her right. We previously saw her wear the peridot ring in January, paired on that occasion with a slithering serpent brooch.
