On Sunday, members of the British royal family joined King Charles III and Queen Camilla to worship at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor, with the ladies wearing an interesting selection of royal jewelry for the occasion.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were joined on Easter in Windsor by his siblings and cousins. The King and Queen arrived for the service with the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Earl of Wessex, the Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, the Earl of Snowdon, and Daniel and Lady Sarah Chatto. The Prince and Princess of Wales were not part of this year’s group at Windsor. Instead, they celebrated the holiday in Norfolk with their children.

For the morning service at St. George’s, Queen Camilla wore a favorite light blue ensemble paired with pearl drop earrings and a lovely brooch.

Here’s a closer look at the brooch, which is set with diamonds and a central blue cabochon gemstone. Guesses regarding the identity of the stone have ranged from moonstone to star sapphire.

Camilla has been wearing the brooch since the days when she was Duchess of Cornwall. Above, she wears the jewel at Ascot Racecourse in the summer of 2022.

In November 2022, she wore the brooch during a welcome ceremony for the President of South Africa during the first incoming state visit of her husband’s new reign.

And in October, we saw her wear the jewel, which some have guessed may have Art Deco design links, during a visit to Westminster Abbey in London.

The King’s sister, the Princess Royal, wore gold and pearl earrings with a gold and diamond brooch that has been in her jewelry box for more than half a century.

Anne began wearing the brooch in the 1960s. Above, she wears the jewel during a visit to the Diamond Trading Company in London in 1971. The piece has been a mainstay in her collection for more than five decades now.

Also present for the royal Easter gathering were the Edinburghs. Sophie wore modern earrings that matched her wine-colored coat, as well as rings on both hands. She’s also carrying a Sophie Habsburg handbag—many of you will remember that we discussed her in a recent post on her parents’ wedding.

Though she has recently pierced her ears, Princess Beatrice continues to stick with her personal minimalist jewelry style, wearing a pair of small gold hoops and a bracelet spelling out the word “love” for the church service.

Her sister, Princess Eugenie, added a little more sparkle to her neutral ensemble, wearing a pair of modern, pavé-set diamond hoop earrings.

Beatrice and Eugenie were also included in their mother’s jewelry choices for the holiday. Sarah, Duchess of York wore pearl and diamond cluster earrings, a Van Cleef & Arpels Vintage Alhambra bracelet made of yellow gold and malachite, and a gold bangle with her daughters’ names spelled out in diamonds.

And last, but never least, Lady Sarah Chatto wore a four-row necklace strung with pearls of varying sizes, paired with diamond starburst earrings. The classic earrings were inherited by Sarah from her late mother, Princess Margaret.
