The Duchess of Cornwall wore the aquamarines for a gorgeous gala appearance in 2009. She arrived at the Royal Albert Hall in London that May to attend the Classical Brit Awards. She wore a satiny midnight blue evening gown with an asymmetrical neckline for the event.

The spotlight piece from the aquamarine set is the necklace, which features lovely pale blue aquamarines and diamonds, plus a diamond and aquamarine pendant.

It’s often difficult to see Camilla’s earrings, because her signature hairstyle hides her ears, but you’ll spot matching aquamarine drops peeking out from beneath her hair.

Overall, I’m a big fan of this set: classic and understated but really beautiful. Aquamarines are useful stones in any royal collection, because so many countries have flags and decorations that include the shade blue. These aquamarines would be a great accompaniment to Camilla’s new Garter sash for upcoming gala events!
