This week, Queen Letizia of Spain celebrates her 49th birthday. To mark the occasion, we’re devoting this week’s Sparkling Spotlight to some of her most glamorous royal gala appearances. We’re kicking things off with one of her very first gala events, way back in spring 2004.
Our Sparkling Spotlight has shone on gorgeous royal sapphires all week, and we’re wrapping up today with a look at a stunning appearance by the Queen in the bright blue gemstones.
The Dutch royal vaults are so packed with beautiful sapphires that the collection includes multiple tiaras set with the luminous gemstone. Today, we’ve got a closer look at the smaller of the two sparklers, worn in 2014 by Princess Beatrix.
