Sparkling Royal Jewels From Around the World
Today, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark celebrates her 82nd birthday. It only feels fitting, then, that we should spend our Saturday chatting about a new television series on Denmark’s royal jewels, Dronningens Skatkammer (The Queen’s Treasury).
Denmark’s trio of royal sisters made an important appearance in Copenhagen this week, celebrating their mother’s legacy and honoring her with their choice of jewels.
Princess Benedikte of Denmark is the only one of her sisters not to have the title of Queen, but nevertheless, she has a royal jewelry collection worthy of any monarch or consort. Today, we’ve got a closer look at one of my favorite pieces from her jewelry box: her amethyst necklace.
