Sparkling Royal Jewels From Around the World
As our celebration of September’s birthstone draws to a close, we’ve got an especially innovative tiara creation on tap. Today’s sparkler, the Dutch Sapphire Necklace Tiara, is actually composed of a sapphire necklace supplemented by elements from another dismantled sapphire jewel.
In some royal families, jewels can be both beautiful and contentious. Today’s tiara is a magnificent royal tiara with a rather complicated and even difficult story: the Cartier tiara owned by Queen Elisabeth of Belgium.
We’re very used to seeing Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom wearing pearls; she dons diamond and pearl earrings and a three-stranded pearl necklace for virtually all of her daytime engagements.
