Following her recent return to Norway, Princess Ingrid Alexandra headed out last week for a visit to one of Oslo’s favorite childhood holiday destinations, wearing a pair of earrings from a classic American jewelry firm.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra, daughter of the Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Norway, has returned from her university studies in Australia following her mother’s recent lung transplant, and since then has taken on a few official engagements. On June 25, the princess headed to Faerder for a visit to Hudøy, a popular holiday camp for kids just outside of Oslo.

During the visit, Ingrid Alexandra stopped in at one of the girls’ camps, did a little fishing, and rode on ATVs. She wore a white blouse with a modern eyelet design, borrowed from her mother’s wardrobe, with wide-leg trousers for the occasion.

She also added a pair of interesting yellow gold earrings with an interlocking link design, echoing the shape of the eyelets on her top.

The earrings come from Tiffany & Co. They’re part of the brand’s HardWear collection, which is inspired by a bracelet made by the company in the 1960s. The Tiffany website notes that the earrings “make a bold statement,” adding that the entire HardWear line “embodies enduring resilience and uninhibited spirit.”

Princess Ingrid Alexandra kept the rest of her jewelry fairly simple for the outdoor visit, wearing rings on both hands, including these stacked rings set with dark red and milky white gemstones.

Speaking of the Norwegian royals: Queen Sonja of Norway celebrates her 89th birthday tomorrow. I’ll be joining in the festivities over at Hidden Gems with a closer look at a fascinating tiara moment from King Harald and Queen Sonja’s 1995 American visit.
