The Prince and Princess of Wales headed to Lambeth Palace to meet the new Archbishop of Canterbury last week, with Catherine wearing a new necklace for the occasion.

Prince William and Princess Catherine made a quick jaunt over to Lambeth Palace, the official residence of Archbishops of Canterbury for centuries, for a special first meeting with the person who now occupies that office: Dame Sarah Mullaly. After a long nursing career, Mullaly was ordained in 2002 and quickly rose as a leader in the Church of England. She became Bishop of London in 2017, and in October, she was chosen to become the first woman to serve as Archbishop of Canterbury. Her formal installation will take place in March.

For the meeting with the new Archbishop, Princess Catherine wore an elegant ensemble in shades of brown. She layered a rich chocolate-hued coat from Catherine Walker over a textured brown dress that, per UFO No More, comes from Edeline Lee.

With the warm tones of the outfit, Kate wore yellow gold jewelry, including a brand-new necklace with a seasonally-appropriate heart pendant. (After all, Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching!)

The necklace comes from one of Catherine’s favorite British jewelry designers, Daniella Draper. This particular piece from Draper’s line is the Starry Night Keeper’s Heart Trace Chain Necklace, which is made of yellow gold with five diamonds set in the center of engraved star designs. The necklace also features the engraved word “love.” Five diamonds, and a message expressing love, suggests that the piece may represent Kate, William, and their three children. The necklace retails on the Draper website for $3,150 USD.

Kate’s collection includes several other Draper pieces, including the Midnight Moon Necklace, which is engraved with the initials of her children, George, Charlotte, and Louis. She also owns the brand’s Alphabet Necklace with G, C, and L pendants, as well as several other pieces.

With the necklace, Catherine wore earrings from her jewelry box that have also quickly become favorite pieces. They’re petite mixed-metal hoops from Cartier’s Trinity Collection, made of yellow, white, and rose gold.

Kate finished off the look with a stack of rings on her left hand, including her famous sapphire and diamond engagement ring, her Welsh gold wedding band, her diamond eternity band, and a sapphire and diamond ring that she’s been wearing often over the past year and a half.
