On Tuesday, Queen Maxima was back on the job, sparkling in diamonds, pearls, and citrines for a visit to a medical center in Venlo.
Queen Maxima arrived at the VieCuri Medical Center for a special tour on Tuesday. The visit was linked to a new initiative in the Netherlands dedicated to providing effective, accessible, and affordable health care for patients.
For the visit, Maxima reached deep into her wardrobe archives. Josine Droogendijk of Mode Koningin Maxima reports that the outfit, made by Natan, has been in Maxima’s closet since 2012.
With the ensemble, Maxima wore a pair of diamond, pearl, and citrine earrings that has been in her jewelry box for several years. The earrings feature a citrine element carved to resemble a pineapple.
We’ve seen Maxima wear the earrings on several previous occasions. She made a notable appearance in the earrings on King’s Day in April 2021.
She also wore them for the family’s annual photo session at Huis ten Bosch in the summer of 2021.
And more recently, we saw her wear the earrings almost exactly a year ago, during the tour of the Dutch Caribbean islands.
Here’s another view of Maxima wearing the earrings during the medical center tour on Tuesday. She also wore a gold chain necklace, but any pendants were hidden beneath her neckline.
But since it’s Maxima, you know she wore rings and bracelets galore! On her left hand, she wore her engagement and wedding rings, and on her right, she added the diamond and padparadscha sapphire ring that she received from King Willem-Alexander after the birth of Princess Alexia in 2005. She also stacked on several bracelets, including a large gold evil eye bangle and a gold bracelet, set with cabochon gems, that is engraved with the names of her family members. On her right wrist, she also added a freshwater pearl bracelet with a charm featuring her first initial. MKM reports that the bracelet comes from Kultura, a brand based in the Philippines.
