The Princess of Monaco Glitters in Diamonds at the Opera in Monte Carlo

It’s always a good time for a gala in Monaco, and last Friday, Princess Charlene brought out her diamonds to celebrate the anniversary of her husband’s foundation in Monte Carlo.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene were on hand for a gala celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Prince Albert II Foundation in the Garnier Hall at the Opera House in Monte Carlo on September 18. The foundation’s website notes that, over the past two decades, the organization has “worked internationally to help preserve ecosystems and advance planetary health, with a particular focus on combatting climate change and safeguarding biodiversity and water resources. With more than 830 projects supported around the world, it works alongside field practitioners, scientists, institutions and organisations committed to researching and implementing concrete responses to major ecological challenges.”

Numerous special guests were also on hand for the celebration, including the actors Richard Gere, Isabelle Huppert, and Monica Belluci, and musicians Placido Domingo and Christina Aguilera. Here, the Prince and Princess pose with Gere during the gala.

For the black-tie event, Princess Charlene opted for a black sparkling gown from Jenny Packham, whose designs have quickly become staunch favorites of Europe’s royal women. This particular dress, the Livia gown, is described as having “a sleek silhouette adorned with a statement neckline of cascading embellishment.”

Charlene added even more sparkle to the outfit with several diamond accessories. UFO No More reports that the rings that Charlene wore on her right hand both come from Repossi. One of the rings is set with three pear-shaped diamonds, and the other is set with five. To my eye, the earrings also appear to be from the same Repossi collection.

As usual, Charlene completed the jewelry look with another special Repossi piece: her diamond engagement ring, which also features a pear-shaped central stone, worn on her left hand.
