Yesterday, King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the year, with plenty of royal jewels on display for the occasion.

The King and Queen were joined at Wednesday’s garden party by several members of the royal family: the Princess Royal, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester (not pictured here).

King Charles wore one of his antique tie pins for the party. This one features the cypher of King Boris III of Bulgaria. Charles wears it often for events like garden parties and Royal Ascot.

Queen Camilla wore a favorite blue coat dress, made by Fiona Clare, and matching hat for the garden party. She accessorized with her favorite diamond and pearl drop earrings, a necklace engraved with the initials of her grandchildren, and a lovely brooch set with diamonds and a central moonstone. There’s been much discussion about the brooch, which appears to be an early 20th century piece, over the past few years. Today, Rebecca English confirms that it comes from Camilla’s “own collection.”

The King’s sister, Princess Anne, wore a neutral hat and coat with a bright orange dress for today’s garden party. Her jewels were made of gold and set with diamonds and pearls: a three-row necklace of seed pearls, Andrew Grima earrings, and her stalactite brooch. The brooch was one of her wedding gifts from her mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in the autumn of 1973.

The Duchess of Edinburgh also got the “warm tones and yellow gold” memo, pairing a coral dress with a coordinating hat. Her accessories included gold earrings from Giulia Barela, which have been worn previously for several public events, including Trooping the Colour in 2024. She also wore a gold and diamond necklace from Chopard’s “Happy Diamonds” collection.

The Duchess of Gloucester was elegant in ivory for the garden party, pairing a textured coat with a natural straw picture hat. She also added classic accessories: diamond and pearl drop earrings and a gorgeous strand of round white pearls.
