The Spanish royal family is currently enjoying their summer residence in the Balearic Islands, and Queen Letizia brought out some fascinating gold statement jewelry for a film festival gala in Mallorca.

Queen Letizia stepped out in Palma, the capital of Mallorca, on Sunday to attend the closing gala of the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest. The celebrated hybrid festival, which recently celebrated its 15th anniversary, features both online and in-person events. During this year’s gala, Letizia presented the Masters of Cinema Awards to the composer Alberto Iglesias, who is renowned for his work with the Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar and for scoring Hollywood films like The Kite Runner and The Constant Gardener.

For the closing gala of the festival, Queen Letizia wore a summery white dress with metallic accessories and gold jewelry. UFO No More tells us that the dress comes from the Italian fashion brand Mantù.

With the dress, Letizia wore a major pair of modern gold statement earrings and a matching bracelet. These come from the Spanish brand Suma Cruz, which was founded by the jewelry designer Susana Cruz. On the company’s website, Cruz explains some of the inspiration behind her creations: “In my mind, there is fantasy, which translates into my work. The story behind the collections and the inspiration for the designs are a reflection of my inner world and personality, emerging from a narrative that is both childlike and mature. Always with a fairy-tale touch.”

The earrings and bracelet are made of 24 carat yellow gold plated brass. They are part of the brand’s Acacia collection, which the website describes as “… the beginning or the end … Autumn, the season of the soul … and of the leaves. Of seeds and acacia fruits that fall and cover our body, embrace us. They envelop us. They decorate us.” The earrings and the bracelet each retail for €320.

The earrings were hidden a bit in Letizia’s hair during the film festival appearance, but here’s a photo that offers you a fairly good look at the way that she wore them.

And here’s an excellent shot of Letizia wearing the bracelet, as well as her ever-present Coreterno ring. The ring, which she debuted in January 2023, is thought to have been a gift from her husband, King Felipe VI.
