The racing at Royal Ascot continued on Friday, with Queen Camilla wearing diamonds in the carriage procession and more interesting royal jewels sparkling in the Royal Enclosure.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrived for the fourth consecutive day of this year’s race meeting at Royal Ascot on Friday. They were joined by several friends and family members, including Princess Eugenie with Sarah, Duchess of York, Zara and Mike Tindall, and Lady Frederick Windsor.

Another race day, another tie pin for King Charles. This lovely little pin appears to feature a heraldic badge with a white rose of York.

Queen Camilla wore a white Anna Valentine ensemble with a Philip Treacy hat for Friday’s races. She added sparkle with several significant diamond pieces, including the diamond and gold earrings that she wore for her coronation in May 2023.

On her dress, Camilla pinned a white and yellow diamond brooch that has become a favorite in recent years. The brooch is shaped like a cross, but Buckingham Palace has continued to refer to it as the “Raspberry Pip” brooch from the collection of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

I’m among those who believe that the brooch is the yellow diamond cross that belonged to the Countess of Strathmore, mother of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. When she died in 1938, she left her “yellow diamond cross” to her daughter in her will.

Queen Camilla first wore the diamond cross brooch in public on Christmas Day in 2023. We’ve seen her wear it on a few occasions since, notably a visit to the National Gallery in London to unveil her state portrait in May.

Also on hand to watch the races on Friday was the King’s niece, Princess Eugenie, who arrived hand-in-hand with her mother, Sarah, Duchess of York.

Eugenie wore a tan and white ensemble that she accessorized with an interesting pair of gold earrings. They feature pendants shaped like tiny mushrooms.

Sarah also wore gold jewelry: pavé-set gold and diamond hoop earrings, a necklace with a circular gold and diamond pendant, and a tangle of gold bracelets. Like Queen Camilla, she wore a Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra bracelet as part of her stack.

Another of the King’s nieces, Zara Tindall, was at Royal Ascot for the fourth day running as well. She wore a crisp trouser suit in a springy shade of powder blue for the occasion.

She continued the blue theme with her earrings, wearing another pair from a favorite brand, Laurence Coste. The earrings appear to have milky white venetian glass tops and aquamarine drops.

And finally, a quick look at the elegant navy and white ensemble worn by Sophie Winkleman, the wife of Lord Frederick Windsor, son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. She added extra glamour to the outfit with a pair of large pearl stud earrings.
