The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their third child to the world on Monday, and Kate wore a pair of earrings with sentimental family links to debut her baby prince.

The earrings, which feature a diamond stud and a pearl drop, come from the collection of the little prince's great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. He nearly shared her birthday, arriving only two days after she turned 92.

We first saw Kate wear these diamond and pearl earrings in September 2016, when she donned them for a visit to Vancouver during a Canadian tour.

Since then, the earrings have become a major part of Kate's jewelry wardrobe. The simple, classic design makes them suitable for lots of different ensembles and occasions.
