William and Kate's royal tour switches gears today, as they leave India to spend some time in Bhutan. Kate wore a new pair of earrings for their arrival at the airport in Paro.

Here's a closer look at the earrings. The people of Bhutan often wear jewelry made of intricate designs in gold or silver. I don't think we have an ID of this pair yet, but as I said in my tour preview posts, it wouldn't surprise me to see Kate wearing some local jewelry on this part of the tour.

UPDATE: We have an ID! The earrings were made by a brand called Brora.

William and Kate were greeted at the airport by the king's elder sister, Princess Chimi Yangzom Wangchuck and her husband, Dasho Sangay Wangchuck. They're a seriously educated royal couple -- the princess has degrees in international relations and economics from Wellesley, plus a master's degree from Columbia; her husband is apparently also in the process of completing a master's degree from Columbia.
