Queen Louise’s Diamond Tiara vs. Queen Sofia’s Star and Pearl Tiara
This petite diamond scroll tiara belonged to Queen Louise, the second wife of King Gustaf VI Adolf of Sweden. She fashionably wore the tiara across her forehead in the 1920s. Later in life, she often loaned the small tiara to her husband’s granddaughters: Princess Margaretha, Princess Birgitta, Princess Désirée, and Princess Christina of Sweden. In 1964, the tiara was given to Princess Désirée, likely as a wedding present. She continues to own the tiara today.

This striking tiara, with its upright pearls and diamond stars, originally belonged to Queen Sofia of Sweden. She passed the tiara to her daughter-in-law, Queen Victoria of Sweden, who in turn bequeathed in to her granddaughter, Queen Ingrid of Denmark. She often loaned the tiara to her daughters and other family members, and in 2000, she left it to Princess Benedikte. She and her daughters continue to wear the tiara today.
