The Swedish Aquamarine Kokoshnik vs. Princess Sofia's Palmette Tiara

This gorgeous diamond and aquamarine kokoshnik began in the collection of Crown Princess Margareta of Sweden. Her daughter-in-law, Princess Sibylla, wore the tiara during her wedding festivities, and later it was given to Sibylla's eldest daughter, Princess Margareta. In recent years, the tiara has returned to the Swedish royal vaults, and it's been worn by Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Madeleine, and Princess Christina.

This diamond palmette tiara was Princess Sofia's wedding gift from her parents-in-law, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. The piece, which was made using one of Silvia's necklaces, originally featured a rigid shape and emerald toppers. In the years since, the tiara has been made more convertible, with an open halo shape and a series of interchangeable toppers, including pearl and turquoise options.

We've got tons of sparkle coming up this weekend, including the results of this week's votes!
