On Saturday, the Queen indulged in her favorite pastime, traveling to Ascot Racecourse for QIPCO British Champions Day.

She wore the small pink cluster brooch that has become a regular part of her jewelry rotation in recent years for the event. The center stone is reportedly a pink sapphire.

On Monday, HM made a visit to HMS Sutherland in the West India Dock in London, part of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the ship's commissioning.

She wore a classic diamond brooch, the Jardine Star, that has been in her collection since the 1980s. You can read more about the nineteenth-century piece over here.

This occasion also gave us an extra treat: an excellent look at the details of the brooch's construction, including that little diamond cluster that sits in the center of the star. Fantastic!
