7. Princess Madeleine wore pink statement earrings to attend the awards ceremony; she also arrived wearing a set of long, thin, sparkling necklaces that competed a bit with her bow, but she smartly removed them.

6. Queen Silvia went for classic jewels for the awards ceremony, including her pearl necklace with the topaz clasp and coordinating earrings.

5. On Tuesday, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands wore a colorful pair of statement earrings from Amrapali to visit a new rose named in her honor. (Much more, including an earring close-up, over here!)

4. On Tuesday, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom wore one of her wedding gifts, the largest Nizam of Hyderabad Rose Brooch, to recreate Queen Victoria's first train journey. (Much more, including a stunning brooch close-up, over here!)

3. Queen Elizabeth II wore another brooch, the Jardine Star, to Hampton Court Palace on Tuesday evening to attend an evensong service commemorating the hundredth anniversary of the Companions of the Order of Honour. (See more views from the event over here!)

2. Queen Elizabeth's best bejeweled appearance of the week, for me, came when she wore her aquamarine clip brooches during Thursday's visit to Poplar in Tower Hamlets in East London, an event that commemorated bombings in the area during World War I.

1. But no one could top Princess Lalla Salma of Morocco this week, who wore a stunning suite of jewels, including earrings, a necklace, and a belt, to host the President of France for an iftar meal in Rabat on Wednesday.
