This Week in Nobel Gala Jewels: December 10-11

December 10-11, 2016

It's really massively unfair to make any other jewelry compete with the royal glitter in Scandinavia during the Nobel gala celebrations, so we've got a separate roundup just for them this week! (The regular jewelry roundup will be up in a few hours, so stay tuned.) Don't forget to vote in our special poll!

10. Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway wore a headband of baroque pearls and a pair of coordinating earrings at the Nobel Peace Prize Banquet in Oslo. (See more images, including pearl close-ups, here!)

9. At the same banquet, Queen Sonja upped the jewelry ante with the Drapers' Company Brooch, pearl and diamond earrings, a pearl bracelet, and an amethyst cluster ring. (See more images here!)

8. Princess Sofia of Sweden wore the Diamond Four-Button Tiara for the first time at the King's Dinner in Stockholm. (More over here!)

7. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden wore the Boucheron Laurel Wreath Tiara for the King's Dinner. (More over here!)

6. Queen Silvia of Sweden paired Queen Sofia's Tiara with the Karl Johan Earrings and other diamond and ruby jewels at the King's Dinner (More over here!)

5. Princess Madeleine of Sweden wore not one, but two tiaras at the King's Dinner: the Modern Fringe Tiara, and the Connaught Diamond Tiara as a necklace. She also wore the Vasa Earrings. (More over here!)
